Perfect Porridge

Ingredients

  • 50g porridge oats
  • 350ml of water
  • 3 tbsp of your favourite yogurt
  • A splash of plant-based milk
  • Half a Banana
  • A handful of Blueberries
  • Walnuts and Brazil nuts
  • A little maple syrup to serve (optional)
  • ½ tsp Cocoa powder or a few cacao nibs (optional)

Method

  • Put 50g porridge oats in a saucepan, pour in 350ml of water and sprinkle in a pinch of salt.
  • Bring to the boil and simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring and watching carefully so it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
  • To serve, pour into bowls, spoon over the yogurt, add the milk.
  • Top with the nuts, fruit, maple syrup (if using)
  • Sprinkle with the cocoa powder or cacao nibs if you like.
