About the event

We are delighted to welcome back Dr Jonathan Hardy for this one-day online William Kadleigh Series Masterclass exploring new animal cases.

Jonathan will present new animal cases from the last twelve to eighteen months of his practice. These will include the new snake remedies introduced to our materia medica by Dr.Vatsala Sperling of Canada – the Colubrid snakes. Dr. Vatsala Sperling has identified a significant gap in our homeopathic materia medica and has filled it expertly. She has drawn attention to the remarkable fact that our existing materia medica contains snake remedies of only one type – they are all extremely dangerous to humans. This is in spite of the fact that by far the largest family of snakes found in Nature, the Colubrids, are almost all relatively harmless to us. Colubrid snakes, being non-venomous (for humans) and defenceless, are preoccupied with protecting themselves from predators. Their techniques for self-defence are hiding, escaping, and appearing more dangerous than they are. Colubrid snakes are milder, weaker and less powerful than venomous snakes. The themes of more dangerous and powerful snakes are missing in cases requiring a Colubrid snake. They feel weak and defenceless and use different defence strategies. These defence strategies are the keys to identifying their remedies and we will see cases of Natrix natrix (Grass snake), Elaphe guttata (Corn Snake) and Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis (Garter snake).

In addition we will see some interesting new Bird and Spider cases, demonstrating the unique features of the remedies and revising our knowledge of the key distinguishing features of these specific animal groups.

William Kadleigh Memorial Fund

After Dr William Kadleigh’s tragic death, the William Kadleigh Memorial Fund was set up by his parents 50 years ago in order to help young Doctors to study Homeopathy. This fund has now been extended to create a lasting legacy for William (“Bill”) by supporting the NCIM William Kadleigh Masterclass Series, as well as the biennial William Kadleigh Memorial Lecture at the Faculty of Homeopathy Congress.

Dr Jonathan Hardy

Jonathan studied Zoology at Oxford University and obtained an Honours degree in 1978. He then studied Medicine at Southampton University and qualified in 1984.  He became a member of the Faculty of Homeopathy in 1988 and since then has worked full-time on the south coast of England as a Homeopathic doctor.  He practices classical Homeopathy, combining the time-tested traditional techniques with the exciting new methods developed by the well-known Homeopathic teachers of the last twenty years. He uses kingdoms and family/group analysis as pioneered by Jan Scholten and Rajan Sankaran, Sankaran’s system of miasms and sensation level material. He finds combining these approaches with use of the Repertory, Materia Medica and Provings can help to give deeply-acting, effective prescriptions.  Jonathan firmly believes our beautiful healing art will have a brilliant and leading role in the healthcare of coming generations.
