Details of Role:

The National Centre for Integrative Medicine (NCIM) is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company based in Bristol and is looking for a new Chair who shares our passion for whole-person healthcare and wellbeing. As a Social Enterprise, NCIM is proud to support the local community by offering integrative healthcare services, combining conventional, lifestyle and holistic approaches to improve health and wellbeing. We aim to provide a range of low-cost and free services so that Integrative Medicine can be more widely accessible, both locally and nationally. NCIM also offers education and training for healthcare professionals and is active in research and evaluation.

We are looking for a Chair who can support the growth and development of NCIM and has a passion for watching not for profit organisations grow and reach a range of communities. They would also have experience in a senior executive role in the corporate world or public sector, with strong leadership skills and experience of social enterprise governance. Key roles include supporting the CEO in the strategic direction and management of the organisation; providing leadership of the Board to ensure that it operates effectively, making decisions within the context of the organisation’s agreed vision, and having full regard for its fiduciary and legal responsibilities.

As our Head Office is in Bristol, ideally, they will be based in the M4 corridor or the South West and will be able to commit an average of 2-3 days per month.

This is a voluntary role.

Marketing and Communications Officer

Salary: £13 per hour, minimum 15 hours per week, freelance

NCIM Marketing and Communications Officer Job Description and Person Specification

 

Details of Role:

The National Centre for Integrative Medicine (NCIM) is a not-for-profit social enterprise with an ambitious remit to support the transformation of healthcare to a broad Integrative Medicine model including conventional, lifestyle and holistic approaches.

We are looking for someone to lead on marketing and communication for the organisation, including writing posts for social media (including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), updates on the NCIM website and developing newsletter and leaflets to support the marketing of our various education and clinical services. The role also includes events marketing and management alongside other team members.

We are looking for someone who can understand the politics of healthcare and look for opportunities to communicate some of our key messages and support the growth of the organisation.

You will be supported by the Core Team, the Business Development and Operations Manager, our Fundraiser and with strategic leadership by our CEO. We have a dynamic and hardworking team and would love someone with these skills to join us.

The contract with NCIM would be on a freelance basis.

Hourly rate of pay £13, with a minimum number of 15 hours per week.
