Claire Goulding (BSc)

Aromatherapy Massage
Western Herbal Medicine

Claire originally trained in Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology and Holistic Massage in 2009 and predominantly practices as an Aromatherapist as well as a Clinical Herbalist (BSc).  Claire is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) and the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).

Claire sees a range of patients in her general practice. However, Claire’s background in education and bodywork has led to a special interest in young people as well as hormonal health, where common issues arise such as hormonal imbalances, skin complaints, mental health, stress, digestion complaints and sleep issues.

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy is a form of complementary medicine that is a touch-based massage therapy involving the use of essential oils to promote physical and emotional well-being. Essential oils are derived from various parts of plants such as flowers, leaves, bark, and roots, and each has its unique composition of natural biochemicals. The ‘aroma’ of the essential oils has a deep therapeutic effect on the limbic system which is the part of the brain responsible for emotions and memories. Common uses of Aromatherapy massage include:

Stress Relief: Helps in reducing stress and promoting relaxation
Anxiety Reduction: Alleviates symptoms of anxiety
Pain Management: Assists in managing pain
Insomnia: Aids in improving sleep quality
Joint health: Increases joint mobility and flexibility

After a short health assessment, you’ll be able to fully relax and receive a deeply restoring therapeutic massage treatment. Claire loves making organic aromatherapy oil blends using locally sourced plants, creating a unique blend of oils for her treatments.

Western Herbal Medicine

Western herbalism works with traditional knowledge of medicinal plants and modern clinical practice to unlock the root cause of symptoms. The medicine acts on the body similar to pharmaceutical medicines with the exception that there are fewer side effects, often none at all. It helps with both acute and chronic conditions.

After a free 15-minute chat to get to know the patient better, the first consultation will last 1 hour and include an in-depth assessment of the patient’s medical history as well as diet and sleep pattern.

Claire will research the case in more detail (often dedicating 2-3 hours) and devise a herbal prescription and bespoke treatment plan. A follow-up consultation will last around 30 minutes, to check in to see how the patient is doing and if any changes to the prescription need to be made. Depending on the individual, working with Claire may continue between 1 to 12 months. Each patient is treated as a unique case and supported fully through their journey.

Stef Mills

Weleda Holistic Facial

After studying Horticulture at Warwickshire College over 20 years ago, Stef developed a passion for the medicinal and therapeutic properties of plants. She became a Weleda Wellbeing Advisor in 2018, and Stef really loves to see how the plants in Weleda’s products help support her clients’ health and wellbeing.

Stef qualified as a Weleda Holistic Esthetician (awarded by the internationally industry recognised Crossfields Institute) in 2022 and has represented Weleda at retreats as well as festivals and other national events in the past few years.

Stef is also a musician in her spare time and feels the rhythmical nature of the unique Weleda Holistic Facial treatment flowing naturally through her. Stef looks forward to helping your skin find its rhythm and vitality too.

Weleda Holistic Facial

Weleda recognises that we are all individual and when we are out of balance our skin expresses life’s challenges and changes in various ways. It can become dry and lifeless; red and sensitive; spotty and over-active or even depleted and looking older than one’s years.

Using Weleda’s 100% natural and organic products together with mindful and rhythmical movements, the aim is to restore rhythm and vitality to your skin, while taking you into a quiet space of inner calm and deep relaxation.

During your facial journey, Stef will also acknowledge your back and feet while you are warmly cocooned, comforted and soothed.

The Rhythmic Activation Massage is at the heart of the facial treatment. Unique to Weleda’s Signature Facial, this method helps to activate your skin’s processes and regenerative forces. It is these forces that when vital and flowing, help the skin restore its balance, strengthen and radiate health and beauty.

The treatment will begin with a footbath and consultation where I will discover which products and techniques will benefit you most.

So much more than a facial alone, a truly holistic approach to working with the skin. These unique Weleda practices and products connect both Esthetician and client with nature, which has been at the heart of Weleda’s purpose since 1921.

The Harmonious Relationship between hands and skin, therapist and client, product and skin, aromas and feelings.
